Designed by Siemens & Medical Coaches Ltd, the system comprises of a Sonata Maestro Class MRI scanner with enhanced cardiac capability.

The scanner purchase was funded entirely from charitable funds received to the CORDA Clear View Appeal, and then donated to the hospital to further pioneering research into cardiovascular disease.

CORDA wishes to thanks the following organisation for their support:

The Clothworkers Foundation

Garfield Weston Foundation

GlaxoSmithKline

Siemens Medical

Medical Coaches Ltd

The original CORDA Mobile scanner has now been retired after many years of pioneering research, and is on display at the Science Museum Large Objects Store, Swindon.
